A heartfelt pop artist, Emily Weisband first gained acclaim as a songwriter after her composition “Thy Will” took home a Grammy in 2017. Her success paved the way for her EPs, 2020’s Not Afraid to Say Goodbye and 2021’s I Call It Being Human.
A Virginia native, Weisband first started playing guitar at age ten and by her teens was writing her own songs. After high school, she studied music at Nashville’s Belmont University and in 2014 signed a publishing deal with THiS Music/Warner Chappell. She penned songs for artists like Keith Urban, Lauren Alaina, P!nk, Lady A, Camilla Cabello, and others. In 2017, her song “Thy Will,” recorded by Hillary Scott & the Scott Family, took home the Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Performance/Song. Weisband then made her solo debut in 2019 with the single “Identity Crisis.” An EP, Not Afraid to Say Goodbye, arrived in 2020, followed a year later by the I Call It Being Human EP.
